Welcome to the TRF Book Club

with The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk

Meetings will be on Thursdays for 6 weeks from 4-5:30 pm ET starting on January 20, 2022 

The final week will be a live Q&A / discussion with author Bessel van der Kolk, M.D. on February 24th.

 Registration is free and open to everyone.  The discussion group will consist of 20 panelists who will be selected for each weekly meeting.  Engagement for the entire group will be available through attending the webinar presentation of the discussion group panel, the live chat during the webinar and the Bookclubz app (optional). Each session will be recorded and available after the meeting.

Meet your discussion group leaders

Brendan O'Hara

Brendan is an athlete who completes fitness challenges to raise awareness for PTSD-related causes. He is also a Graphic Designer, Photographer, and Writer running his own business catering to Sports, Technology, and Consumer Retail industries, and PTSD-related organizations like the Trauma Research Foundation, having contributed an article to the TRF blog. Brendan recently completed the Chad 1,000x Fitness challenge, raising thousands of dollars for the Trauma Research Foundation and Navy Seal Foundation, and is an outspoken advocate for PTSD treatments like Internal Family Systems and EMDR. Brendan earned a B.S. in Marketing from Virginia Tech and an Advanced Certificate in Graphic Design from the Massachusetts College of Art & Design.

The Book Club will meet to discuss The Body Keeps the Score on the following weeks.  Register once to attend as many of these sessions as you are able.  Recordings will be available for any missed weeks.
